Showing 2 of 2Quite simply, the most comfy boot I've ever worn in my life!
I've had ProBoots and Magnum Elites, both of which were good boots, but the Spider 8.1 takes comfort to the next level.
Light weight is the key I think, yet they remain totally supportive. The 'fast rope' lacing system is great, though the lace storage pockets on the tongue are more gimmic than use in my humble opinion.
I kid you not when I say that I often have to come back downstairs at night to take them off - they are so comfy I forget i've got them on!
Longevity is the next question. So far they've lasted 5 months of daily wear with no appreciable deteriation. If they last a year, I'll never wear anything else!

I'm a response PC in a urban and rural area, so these boots get a lot of usage 6 days out of 10!
My last pair of boots were Magnum elite's which were pretty rubbish, however the description of the 8.1's enticed me to try again. I didn't want to review straight away as I wanted to see how they stood over time. I have been wearing them for 3 months now and I wouldn't want a different boot. These boots are SUPER lightweight and feel like trainers, however they maintain structure on the ankle and feel supportive, whilst remaining breathable. Obviously being a PC I don't use the fast rope system all that much! But that said the grip on the sole is spot on. The lace up system is strange and you do have to fight a bit with the laces to tighten all the way down the tongue, but once tied the laces don't slip. The little holder in the tongue for your lace knot is actually really useful which I was slightly sceptical of at first. The boots are easy to put on and get off in a hurry and the loops at the back are helpful. In short if you're fed up with losing foot chases due to you being pulled down by your PSU/Moon boots, these are the boots for you!
