The Nite Ize Upgrade IQ Switch is a multi function push-button tail cap switch for the AA Mini Maglite. It features 5 light modes: 100%, 50%, 25% power, slow, and fast strobe.
The fast and slow strobe modes were designed to expand the battery life of the flashlight in emergency situations. The I.Q. Switch features 3 power levels which will extend battery life up to four times longer than a standard AA Mini Maglite without this upgrade!
Additional product features include Auto-off (14.5 minutes) in the first 3 modes to prevent accidental drainage. At 13 minutes the light will flash for the 1st time to signal that it is 1.5 minutes from shutting off and prompt you to hit the button to re-activate for another 14.5 minutes. At 13.5 minutes the light will flash for the 2nd time to signal that it is 1.0 minute from shutting off and prompt you to hit the button to re-activate for another 14.5 minutes. At 14 minutes the light will flash for the 3rd and final time to signal that it is 30 seconds from shutting off and prompt you to hit the button to re-activate for another 14.5 minutes. At 14.5 minutes the light will turn off and save your batteries!
