Haix Ranger GSG9-S BootsThe Haix Ranger Gsg9 – S GTX Boots were developed with German gsg9 specialist operatives. This has led to the boots having amazing features which make them ideal for all police and specialist unit applications.
The boot has high quality, fully waterproof leather upper which is hydrophobic and breathable (1.8 – 2mm thick). It also features the Gore CROSSTECH technology which is resistant to penetration from blood and bodily fluids with increased chemical protection. The inner lining is 3 layers of CROSSTECH technology which protects the feet, is watertight and breathable, giving optimal climate comfort for all seasons.
Sun reflects off the Haix Ranger Gsg9 – S GTX Boot reducing the heating effect through the sun reflecting off the leather thus keeping the leather and feet cooler. The Haix climate system keeps the feet dry and comfortable as it allows air to be circulated with every step and released through vents at the top of the boot.
The Haix Ranger Gsg9 –S GTX Boot has an anatomically formed, exchangeable and washable foot bed which is quick drying and has excellent moisture absorption. The rubber sole is wear resistant and has anti static and anti slip resistance with first class step and bend behaviour due to a sporty toe and heel rounding. The Kevlar protective sole means that the boot is resistant to puncture from sharp objects.
The Haix Ranger GSG9-S GTX Boot comes in sizes 4 – 12, standard UK shoe sizes. Half sizes are available in size 8.5, 9.5 and 10.5 giving a wider range to find a suitable fit.

A great boot for sensible money
David, Response PC
I've had Danners, Alt-bergs and Magnums over the years, but for the price I'd say the Haix GSG9 has them beat.
The fit isn't quite perfect, but that's because my left foot is a whole size larger than the right, so there's always going to be a compromise.
The sole is quite thick and this does rob one of some feel through the pedals when driving, however I'll take that considering the extra puncture resistance this provides.
The build quality is terrific and the lacing system works well, I find.
So far I've only worm them through autumn and winter (haven't missed a beat), so how the ventilation system bears up to a British summer remains to be seen.
Decided that having purchased a pair of viper boots which literally only lasted 3 months before they started to fall apart, that I would pay xtra money for some better footwear! Have to say you get what you pay for! These boots are xlent! Look the business, really comfy and light! Didn't need breaking in!
Would highly recommend these to anyone who works in any of the forces!
A bonus also is the lock on the laces which means the boots are always supporting your feet/ankle the whole shift!
Thanks for some great footwear!
tough hard wearing boot
Sergeant, Response and Tactical Team
I have worn these boots now for around 4 months. I work both on response and on a Tactical Team so have had opportunity to see how the boot functions in numerous scenarios.
I have worn Haix boots before along with Magnum and Bates. Due to the amount of time I spend in my boots and the use I get out of them I am happy to spend my own money rather than wearing ‘Force issue’. I believe the price of these boots is competitive and value for money.
I decided not to break the boots in but to wear them for a shift straight from the box. I was surprised at how light the boots were when considering the specifications of them. The boots were very comfy and did not cause any discomfort despite no breaking in period. The boot was very supportive of my lower foot and ankle. Despite being the first time I had worn them I was able to complete a long PSU shift spent mainly on foot with no aches, pains or blisters.
I have been aware that the boot was keeping my feet very warm compared to my previous boots. However this did not cause my feet to sweat and now during the colder and wetter shifts I again notice this and appreciate it. The boots have kept my feet warm and dry exactly as promised on the box.
The best feature I have found of these boots is the lacing system. The laces lock off and stay locked no matter how long or what I have been up to in them. The laces have not been damaged or worn despite the firmness and strength of the system. But then I am surprised at how well the boot itself has lasted. Despite wearing these solidly for four months I have seen limited wear and tear. All the glue and stitching has lasted and looks as good as new. The sole too has not worn away in any area and I am confident I am going to get my monies worth from them.
The only negative from the boots is I feel that a change of texture or slight ledge on the heel would benefit so I could remove the boot without having to use my hand when dirty. The smooth back makes it a little difficult to do this.
I would definitely recommend these boots and when they do finally need replacing would happily stay with this type. These are a good boot for anyone wanting a tough hard wearing boot.
I have only warn these boots for one shift so may very well add another review, but i have been so impressed with them i had to drop down a line.
first things first they look and feel like a good solid boot. secondly as soon as i put the boot on even with the lasses loose the boot fit my foot beautifully, with the lasses tide boot fits and supports perfect.
the boot is light and i think will be great for the coming summer.
Haix Ranger Gsg9
Boots purchased January 2014. Initial impressions are that these are a quality pair of boots which should be worth investing in. Have worn Magnum's previously which though comfortable, have worn quickly. Had spent hours searching the Web but was unable to find any helpful reviews for what is an expensive boot. The boot is comparable to the more popular Lowa and Altberg boots and it was difficult to choose between them. On arrival the boots differed slightly to the image, having a black sole compared to the grey one pictured. The leather was seen to be of a high standard and it was easy to see the quality which had gone into them. The base of the shoe seems to be hard wearing which should last for many years of foot patrols. After a few hours of wear the boots broke in nicely with no rubbing or discomfort. Even in the icy January weather the boot provides great grip with the high ankle support giving confidence. The lining of the boots keep your feet warm outside and yet allows air to circulate in a warm office environment. Feet have stayed dry so far and I have no doubt that a boot made to this standard will withstand any weather the highlands can throw at them. Would definitely recommend the boots to anyone looking for high quality, comfortable patrol boots.Delivery Information
