Utility Belt History And Development
The inventor of the first utility belt has commonly been credited to Gardner Fox, writer of the Detective Comics in 1939, which held Batman’s choking gas capsules. As time went on, his utility belt incorporated more items.
Although seemingly unremarkable in appearance, the utility belt is one of Batman’s most important tools in fighting crime. Consisting primarily of a strap and buckle, the utility belt houses ten pouches or cylindrical cartridges that are attached to the outside of the belt. The buckle itself typically contains a miniature camera and a tape recorder. A secondary compartment behind the length of the belt houses Batman’s supply of batarangs.
Modern Day Utility Belt Developments
Whilst we sell a variety of utility belts at PatrolStore, we sadly are unable to provide you with your own Batman Utility Belt!
What we do stock, however, are a selection of belts designed specifically for the police, security and military to house all the everyday accessories that are necessary in order to fulfil your daily duties.
Utility Belts For Men & Women
The Viper Security Belt Patrol System is a utility belt fitted with a three point release buckle, requiring 2 fingers and a thumb to release it.
This prevents the situation you could get yourself into with the traditional 2 point releases, where someone standing in front of you could undo your belt.
This system is a good value option that is perfect for those involved in contract security work as it provides you with a complete system with one small purchase.
The Viper security belt is a black utility belt and includes the following items:

The Viper security utility belt system is similar to the patrol belt system, but made for those who carry a pistol as part of their duties. This utility belt has a tri-lock buckle and has: a double mag pouch, pistol holster, glove pouch, baton/torch holder, key keeper and handcuff pouch
